A 2008 CHRISTMAS PRESENT

So I am going CRAZY.
I'm listening to NPR on the radio, using my out of dat macBook computer & contemplating the recent & future snow falls, killing cold, failing to get to a med clinic appointment due to closings & canceled transportation (thanks Aurora Health), out of prescribed medication, in pain (with no pain meds), as well as being broke at Christmas time.

Is life exciting or what!

I do not wanna watch any version of THE CHRISTMAS CAROL, and I'm tired of little Ralphie saying "fudge" when he means "f@&%" in A CHRISTMAS STORY.

Thank the universe for the movie "SMOKE" and "Auggie Wren's Christmas Story".

So here, dear reader, is my favorite Christmas story from one of my all time favorite movies. If you can rent or see SMOKE, you too may love it, too. It was made in Brooklyn, back in the days when people could still smoke in many places.

(I do not smoke, and pity the poor addicts who do).

(drumroll please)
Here is "Auggie Wren's Christmas Story"

"But you don't really care for music, do you?"

I asked my favorite song writer/singer to depart from her beautiful original work and do a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". She says it is a work in progress, but I love it as is.

Mary Morales arrangement and performance of "Hallelujah" will be up asap.

Her music is at: Mary: The Music!
